FENN & LAREAULT SERIES
Do you like stories with an underdog, the reluctant hero who
has no choice but to see a task through to the end come hell or high
water? How about police procedurals? Fenn
& Lareault bring the best of both worlds together. Fenn
is the average guy, living paycheque to paycheque and minding his
own business, until trouble comes calling. Lareault is the
detective tasked with solving the crimes that Fenn inevitablty
gets caught up in. For those craving more action in their crime novels,
this series answers the bell.
THE LETTERHEAD AFFAIR
Shortly after Torque was
published, I was asked to submit a short story to an anthology called
Amazing Adventures.
Set in the Florida Keys, this tale of action and intrigue won the
pole postion. The honour of being the first story in the book is
reserved for the tale most likely to hook the reader.
BOOMERANG
Gail and I
like to take our travel trailer to a Provincial Park on
the outskirts of Goderich, Ontario, a charming little town on the
Canadian shore of Lake Huron. One night, while into my second gin and
tonic, I saw a satellite cross the sky and thought, what if it fell out of orbit and
landed somewhere near the park.
I ran with the concept, and though I started writing it
in 2016, the idea had current relevance when the Chinese started
floating spy balloons over North America. Imagine if one had landed in
your rose bushes - what fun that would be! I was almost sad when the book was
complete, it was such a trip to write.
THE PIPE SMOKER'S CUT
Whereas my other novels are set in modern times, The Pipe Smoker's Cut is a historical mystery set mainly in London, England, during the latter half of 1918.
SIMPLIFIED BOOKKEEPING FOR AUTHORS
This 'how-to' book was a COVID
project. I must admit that the plague and its tragic consequences
really dampened my creativity. So, to pass the time, I assembled my
extensive knowledge of bookkeeping into a simple manual for those who
are skilled at writing, but not at tracking their income and
expenses.
